Himali Hydro Fund Limited

Himali Hydro Fund Ltd. (HHFL) is developing the Sona Khola Hydropower Project- 9 MW (SKHPP) in Taplejung district, Nepal. Company (HHFL) incorporated on 24th Oct., 2016 by registration in Office of the Company Registrar under Ministry of Industry, with in initiation of the two Nepali founders namely Mr Somnath Kandel and Mr. Tikaram Gaire. Initially company was formed as Private Limited company later on in 12th July, 2022 company has converted into Limited company structure. Company (HHFL) was also registered in Department of Industry, Ministry of Industry Commerce & Supplies (Uddhog Bibhag) in 16th Aug., 2021. Currently Company (HHFL) has 55 number of shareholders and 5 number of Board of Directors (BOD) where Managing Director acts as BOD as well as Chief Executive.

Shareholding Structure

Promoter Shareholders

The company has welcomed promoter shareholders from various backgrounds living in Nepal and abroad. Company want to create a diverse team of shareholders in order to generate harmony within the team for smooth functioning of the company. The promoter shareholders are responsible for funding 80% equity shares amount.

Public Shareholders

Public shareholders comprise the two categories first one is Project affected area’s shareholder who will be awarded with 10% of the equity shares amount, second category is General public shareholder who will be awarded with another 10% of the equity shares amount.

Himali Hydro Fund Ltd. (HHFL) has a vision of developing hydropower project for the prosperity of country via benefitting consumers, local people, shareholders, employees and crating business opportunities to the business ecosystem of project development in Nepal.

Objective

Himali Hydro Fund Ltd. (HHFL) has a objective of developing around 44 MW capacities two Hydropower projects in Nepal within 10 years.
